About Us
Susan Jansen
Praise & Exaltation Productions (PrExPro, Inc.) is the host site for multimedia works of Susan Jansen. Susan has a long history with music. She taught herself how to play the guitar when she was eight years old and found it a wholesome companion in all the seasons of life. Whether strumming around the campfire as a counselor in high school years, hosting spontaneous sing-a-longs in the dorm during college years, serving in music ministry at church or singing lullabies to her children, Susan's guitar has always been close by.

She remembers a day of housecleaning when she was little. As she vacuumed the stairs, she carried a tune in her heart and noticed how easily the work went by. At that age, she recalls wishing that she could make music someday that would help people get through their daily chores with a light heart. She figured that by helping other people to smile through tough times, she could give thanks to in the greatest expression of gratitude to our Highest Good for His many gifts.
Though Susan would choose nursing as her bread-and-butter profession, she found inspiration for her music in every aspect of her career. Many of her songs are reflections of people she met along the way as she served in Critical Care or Maternal-Child health. She remembers distinctly when she realized she could write music. "I used to be the type of person who always had the radio on around me, so much did I crave music. Then, in the year 2000, that desire shut off abruptly. It seemed I had so much music in my head, I didn't want to listen to the radio anymore. Writing songs began to be like solving perpetual puzzles and nothing else would be so satisfying. To this day, I don't intentionally search out new music. It seems strange, I know, but it's the way it is."

Susan enjoys being involved in all aspects of the media production process, including composition, vocals, instrumentals and audio-visual engineering. Her works include her own children's books, folk songs and sacred music, as well as volunteer projects she orchestrated on behalf others (Lucious Newsom, Fr. Jonathan Meyer). She credits her Christian faith and family with the abundance of inspirations for various projects. She enjoys down to earth relationships and homespun fun. For Susan, the best things in life are homemade and she loves sharing her creative projects with others!
